How financial flows shape climate, justice and the future
Money is more than just a means of payment. Investments, loans and financial assets influence the climate, social justice and the living conditions of future generations. How can we go about investing our money in a way that is not only financially profitable but also responsible? And how can we steer financial flows so that they serve the common good?
In the workshop, we will take a look behind the scenes of financial flows and investments to show which mechanisms are at work there and how they ultimately affect all of our lives. We will then look at the options for action: from choosing the right bank to political demands. We will discuss how each and every one of us can take action.
Leader: Gesa Vögele (Dipl.-Volks.) is Managing Director of the Fair Finance Institute (FaFin - Fair Finance Lab gGmbH). She has been working on sustainable finance for over 16 years and offers educational formats for various target groups.
