Under the theme ‘The Songs Ring Out’, the Samtens Women’s Choir and the Binz Senior Citizens’ Choir will be singing together at the Protestant Church in Binz. Alexander Bergstedt will be conducting.
The Songs Ring Out—Grand Choral Concert at the Binz Church
“Fall is beginning, but the beautiful summer still echoes in our songs!” This is the theme of the grand choral concert on Sunday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m., at the Protestant Church in Binz. The Binz Senior Choir will be joined by the well-known Samtens Women’s Choir, which has already performed in around 400 concerts and appeared in television recordings, CD recordings, and numerous music videos. From folk songs to modern musicals and pop songs, the late-summer concert program features highlights spanning four centuries of music history. Among other pieces, the audience can look forward to “Thank You for the Songs” by ABBA, “The Little Green Cactus,” “Miracles Happen,” and the famous “Oh, Vast Valleys.” Another highlight is the film score “Adiemus” by Karl Jenkins. Three beautiful evening songs will also be sung together with the audience, including the popular autumn song “Bunt sind schon die Wälder.”
The concert will be conducted by certified choir director Alex Bergstedt, who has also arranged some of the pieces specifically for the choirs. Admission is free.
