Music and entertainment in the afternoon - sea view included
Young yet steeped in tradition—what may sound contradictory at first is impressively embodied by KAMEL—the Laubenheim Chamber Music Ensemble.
What began in 2006 with four elementary school friends from Mainz-Laubenheim has grown into a young, dynamic ensemble with about 25 members. Each ensemble member contributes different musical experiences and creative ideas. This results not only in classical chamber music works but also in exciting new interpretations of rock, pop, film, and chart music.
Rehearsals consistently become a space for creative experimentation, where different eras, styles, and approaches to performance converge. The goal is to combine classical chamber music with youthful energy while remaining open to new soundscapes. This musical freedom is also reflected in the fact that the ensemble performs without a conductor. In addition, KAMEL regularly collaborates with choirs and bands and expands its lineup on a project-by-project basis, even to the size of a chamber orchestra.
