with Olga Shkrygunova (piano) and Iris Siegfried (violin and vocals)
With their "Demokratìa Project", pianist Olga Shkrygunova and violinist and singer Iris Siegfried present a tribute to democracy as an essential feeling of freedom and life. In this extraordinary concert, they combine their artistic forces to explore the profound connection between music and democracy. The program includes their own songs and chansons as well as classical works by composers such as Beethoven, C. Schumann, Mozart, Rameau and Piazzolla. With musical diversity and personal moderations, the two musicians invite their audience to reflect on the development of freedom and human rights, which are also celebrated in hymns such as Beethoven's 9th Symphony. The focus is on the different identities of the two musicians, who performed together on international stages for over ten years with the renowned quartet Salut Salon. Their shared experiences and passion for music have brought them together for this heartfelt project that inspires and encourages reflection: A musical manifesto for democracy (- and love!).
