The water hiking rest area in Damgarten is the ideal starting point for a canoe tour on the Recknitz. The rowing base of the Ribnitz sports club with public canoe rental is located here. Surrounded by wild romantic nature paddlers conquer the small river which flows into the Ribnitz lake in Damgarten. The interplay of meadows, pastures, quarries and moors gives the glacial Recknitz valley its particularly characteristic appearance. The romantic course of the river with its numerous resting places is easily navigable by canoe. By gently gliding along the Recknitz, water hikers experience recreation in harmony with nature.

The resting place for canoeists is an ideal starting point or resting place for canoeists, because there is also a snack bar on the spot. On the area of the rowing department of the Ribnitz sports club it is possible to spend the night in own tents. There is a barbecue and fire place as well as small shelters on the area. Furthermore sanitary facilities with showers are available.
