The village church was built in three stages:1298 the choir, 1328 the nave and 1345 the tower.
It is one of the highest quality High Gothic village churches in the North German brick landscape.The brick-faced tower is the oldest surviving wooden tower in Germany.

Rühn Monastery is a well-preserved monastery complex dating from 1232. The owner is a non-profit, voluntary association. The monastery includes a monastery store and a tavern as well as an oil, mustard and vinegar manufactory.
Preserved buildings of the Sonnenkamp monastery are the monastery church with the oldest stained glass windows in northern Germany, the provost's building and the bell tower.
Visits outside visiting hours are possible at any time by arrangement. Visitors report to the parish office in Bützow, Kirchenstraße 04.

To the left of the Bützow harbor there is a mill complex, of which the mill building and one of two water wheels are still preserved.
Trechow Castle is located in a charming terminal moraine landscape at Trechow Lake and is a manor house built of granite ashlars around 1590 to 1601 on an old foundation. Due to its unique building material and the special illusion painting of 1795, it was elevated to the status of a National Cultural Monument in 2009.
