The manor house was built in 1876, renovated in 1989 and furnished as a pottery by Friedemann Henschel.
The pottery is a ceramic workshop with an exhibition in the vaulted cellar. All vessels are turned on the potter's wheel, in small series or unique. Firing is done with the electric kilns as well as in the free-fire kiln. To get an impression of his working methods and assortment, you are cordially invited to his workshop.

Friedemann Henschel is considered the humorist among potters, his figures and vessel sculptures exude wit and irony. Typical are his voluptuous ladies, riding on all kinds of mythical creatures or simply perched on the spouts of teapots. Utility objects with added value.
