In May 2014 the former post building in Wolgast – built in 1884 – was converted into a unique accommodation. With room for up to 68 visitors, the “Postel” is a popular destination for cyclists, small and big families, groups, sailors, surfer, nature enthusiasts, clubs and bands.
The small harbor town of Wolgast is located directly on the Peene River and is just a stone's throw from the Island of Usedom. Ideal for convenient transportation connections. From here, excursions to the island and the Baltic Sea beach are possible, as well as exploring the unique natural landscape of the Penne and the mainland.
The POSTEL welcomes all those who love the extraordinary. The old imperial building served as a post office for a long time. This theme was taken up and the small hotel has been run in a family atmosphere since 2014. Families, adventure and active holidaymakers, nature and music lovers will find accommodation in a total of 12 lovingly and individually furnished rooms - whether traveling alone or in a large group. The two large vacation apartments, each with their own kitchen and bathrooms, can accommodate up to 16 and 22 people.
Many spacious communal areas, such as the open event kitchen and the hotel lobby, can be used by everyone. The green outdoor area invites you to linger, lounge and barbecue. Soccer can be played in the indoor soccer hall whatever the weather and the large multi-purpose room can be used for choir rehearsals, family parties, sports lessons or other events. It is also possible to hire a bar, the Kesselbar, to host your own parties and those who prefer a quieter atmosphere can relax and unwind in our small wellness area with 2 saunas from October to May.
With its innovative concept, the POSTEL also proves that a hotel business functions according to the principles of sustainability. By giving equal consideration to ecological, social and economic aspects, we promote the responsible use of all resources.
The historic old town is just a few steps away and, with St. Peter's Church and the harbour, invites you to stroll and wander.
