Learn to paddle and experience a sense of community: canoe trips on the Mecklenburg Lake District with Laura, a canoe guide and adventure instructor. From day trips to multi-day canoeing weeks, as well as school field trips and educational programs. You’ll paddle, camp, and enjoy the tranquility of the lakes.
Many waterways offer opportunities for relaxation. Laura from KompassKiki is a canoe guide, adventure instructor, and educational consultant from Mirow. She takes care of all the logistics so that all you have to do once you’re there is paddle, lend a hand when needed, and enjoy your time.
The tours take you through the Mecklenburg Small Lakes Region: small and medium-sized lakes alternate with winding creeks and canals. Sometimes you’ll have the water all to yourselves. Kingfishers, white-tailed eagles, great crested grebes, and swans greet you as you paddle by.
On multi-day tours, you’ll spend the night in tents at campgrounds and wind down the evenings around a campfire. Time for yoga, swimming, walks, or simply reading is scheduled every day. You’ll paddle in two- to four-person canoes, and paddles and life jackets are included.
There are also suitable options for groups, such as school trips, team-building activities, corporate events, and educational leave. In a canoe, one person steers while the others provide the power. This way, the group quickly learns to coordinate and move forward together.
Paddling is practiced together on the first day, and beginners and advanced paddlers alike are welcome. Solo travelers quickly find a group on the tours, and private groups can tailor dates and tour lengths to their preferences.
Whether it’s a day trip, a weekend, or a week-long canoeing adventure: on the lakes, you’ll find space to drift along and time for yourselves.
