Exhibitions and Galleries, family-friendly

Just 16 kilometers northwest of Stralsund, Europe's largest crane center provides fascinating insights into the lives and migration routes of the "birds of happiness". A multimedia exhibition, an award-winning 17-minute film and a variety of nature experience areas impressively convey the importance of crane conservation - rounded off by a bistro with a view of the greenery.

In the middle of the most important resting area for cranes in Central Europe, the international NABU experience center KRANICHWELTEN presents a contemporary synthesis of nature education, species protection and sustainable tourism. The modern, interactive exhibition leads visitors into the ecosystems of crane landscapes, moors and insect worlds and, thanks to virtual expeditions, enables a deep immersion into biological relationships.

A 17-minute, internationally award-winning film accompanies the "birds of happiness" through all seasons and illustrates their ecological and cultural significance. In the extensive outdoor area, a naturalistic lowland moor reveals the charm of original habitats including typical flora and fauna.

After exploring, a cozy bistro with a panoramic view invites you to linger - ideal for soaking up the impressions and enjoying regional specialties. Immediately adjacent, the Günzer See nature paradise offers further opportunities for unforgettable crane watching moments.

KRANICHWELTEN combines a scientific foundation with inspiring adventure spaces and offers nature lovers of all generations a high-quality, sustainable leisure option in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
