The manor has belonged to the v. Oertzen family since 1672. The single-story baroque house, built in 1773, ends with a mansard roof. The courtyard entrance is gabled over a beautiful oak entrance door with a frontispiece. On the garden side there is a 3-axis central risalit with a terrace in front. Old wooden floorboards are preserved in the interiors. The house was extensively and authentically renovated and is now open to guests as a hunting lodge.
Kotelow Hunting Lodge - Where time comes to rest. After being passed down from generation to generation within the von Oertzen family over the centuries, this little jewel in the Mecklenburg countryside came into the hands of the Heins family in 2001. They had it lovingly refurbished and restored bit by bit, preserving the old fabric of the building in the best tradition of craftsmanship, in order to revive the tradition of the house as a place of donated time. The owners' wish is to combine in the hunting lodge the character and values of a private house with the comforts of personal care. So today it is open to guests for vacation and leisure who have a special demand for relaxation - people who want to spend wonderfully relaxing days with long walks and evenings by the fireplace with a glass of good wine in the midst of an idyllic landscape.
