Harbours and marinas

Alt Reddevitz belongs to the municipality of Middelhagen and extends over a headland into the Having.

Via Mariendorf, situated at the foot of the Schafberg, you reach Alt Reddevitz, the oldest settlement of terraced houses in Mönchgut. Old fishing sheds, the wooden barges and fish traps, the lush green of the Bodden with shoals of small fish characterize the image of Alt Reddevitz and its harbor. The way the village was built reveals that the houses were once built only on one side of the village street for practical reasons of protection from the forces of nature, while on the opposite side was the beach with its boats.

Situated on the Hagenschen Wiek, the village stretches far into the Reddevitzer Höft with its cliffs, low coastal forests and mighty erratic blocks (relics from the Ice Age). From here you have a magnificent view to the island of Vilm.
