Contemporary art from Germany and Scandinavia in changing exhibitions all year round in a historic fire station building in the Baltic resort of Sellin on the axis between the harbor and the pier.
The gallery in the Baltic resort of Sellin on the Island of Rügen, in the middle of the three-country corner of the western Baltic Sea, presents contemporary artistic attitudes from Germany and northern Europe, often painting and sculpture but also across all media, from young talents to well-known positions. Every two or three months, whether summer or winter, a new exhibition opens here in Sellin and the old fire station is opened up to the kitchen and garden.nstlers from all over Northern Europe in amazing constellations, but also exciting, extensive conversations between regular guests, tourists or neighbors over wine, bread & pâté in the most colorful mix, just like the audience. The striking historical building with its attractive exposed brickwork, the lavishly designed, atmospheric rooms and the finely restored 100-year-old hose tower is a monument of local historical significance, preserved for the future and filled with art and life.
