Erratic boulder recovered in Pampower Feldmark
Near Teterow's city center, at the intersection of Malchiner Straße and Bahnhofstraße, is the "Bismarckstein" . It was originally found in the Pampow fieldmark and is a protected monument. At the front the erratic block was ground off the ice, at the back parts are blown off at the top. It is four meters long, 2.80 m wide and has a volume of 9 cubic meters. The "Bismarckstein" - the front view is decorated with a relief of the former Chancellor of the Reich - was determined as a coarse-grained granite gneiss. It does not belong to the Leitgeschieben and therefore cannot be determined in more detail. But already because of its size and the traces left by the glacier, this boulder is worth seeing.
