Be welcome and experience the largest fieldstone barn in Germany on almost 10,000 sqm. It is one of the Welcome Centers Mecklenburg Lake District in the center of the bioenergy village Bollewick.
Built in 1881 and until 1991 huge barn for 650 cows is today marketplace for Mecklenburg products, crafts, art and culture. Listed as a historic monument, it houses workshops dedicated to traditional crafts on 2 floors. Often this is practiced before the eyes of the visitors, if interested also explained. Here and in the attractive stores you can buy regional products daily from 10-18 o'clock, stroll, shop and be pampered.
On the first floor you can expect farm store, Mecklenburg traditional workshops, Drechselstube Hofrichter, carpentry Fink, the blue and white corner (ceramics), hairdresser, furrier and the chocolaterie Hammelspring. On the upper floor, discover Linegaden, Stickstübchen, Atelier Picasso, "Silk flowers and more" and the regional exhibition. In the café or in the village tavern you can strengthen yourself again and for overnight guests is provided in the cozy country hotel "Zur Scheune". The regional market and the country workshops opposite the SCHEUNE are worth a visit. The maze Bollewick opens from May to September.
