Unusual medieval frescoes, a painting by Lukas Cranach the Elder, a Lütkemüller organ and a multimedia exhibition in front of and inside the church will accompany you as you explore this historic place.
The fieldstone church of Groß Gievitz on Lake Torgelow is a building from the transition from Romanesque to Gothic style in the 13th century. It was first mentioned in 1267. The church is furnished with interesting inventories and has an impressive painting from the time it was built, which was uncovered in 1964. In 2022, a multimedia exhibition was created, including a film portrait of this special building.
