Playgrounds and indoor arcades

The Erlebniswerkstatt Zahren offers people of all ages a creative space. Here you can play and dream or tinker with recycled and natural materials, realize your own projects, make objects and art yourself.

I have lived in Zahren for many years. My ever-changing site, an enchanted fairytale landscape for children, my "adventure workshop", is constantly reinventing itself. From things that others throw away, from old stuff, garbage, recycled material, I create something completely new with quality craftsmanship and creative flair. This is called upcycling.

Anyone can try it out with me.

I invite visitors to the adventure workshop to experiment and tinker with a wide variety of materials. Children in particular, together with their parents or playing with other children, can develop their own creative imagination. At the same time, they are encouraged to be active and self-determined.

My basic attitude towards contemporary art "upcycling" is honest and respectful, because it addresses the throwaway society and scarcity of resources for all generations.

Everything found on earth is part of the living world, telling a story from where to where. What was once produced and used for a single function should be thrown away. I turn it into a work of art.
