Devin Peninsula Nature Reserve

On the southern outskirts of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund lies the Devin Nature Reserve and Recreational Area, which includes the 23-meter-high hill.

Thanks to its varied geomorphology and rich flora and fauna, this landscape is not only one of the city’s most beautiful but also one of its most valuable. For this reason, a large portion of the peninsula (105.5 hectares) was designated a nature reserve in 1993. The peninsula and its adjacent bodies of water are part of the Europe-wide “Natura 2000” network of protected areas.

You can reach the peninsula from the B 96 via the Devin district. You can also get there by taking bus line 3.
