The manor house (castle) Wichmannsdorf is located near Kröpelin. It was built around 1911.
The Wichmannsdorf manor house is located in the middle of a 30,000 square meter park with a great variety of native and exotic woody plants, which was originally laid out by the horticultural architect Habig. The manor house was built from 1909 to 1911 by the architect Paul Korff as a widow's residence for Mrs. Landrätin Sophie von Oertzen.
In 1945, the owners were expropriated in the course of the land reform. Afterwards a school was established in the manor house. In 1977, it was taken over by VEB Ludwigsfelde and thus set up as a culture room, canteen kitchen, consumption, outpatient clinic, and vacation and training home.
After the reunification, the manor house fell into disrepair and only went, completely destroyed by vandalism, to the current owner in 2002. In addition to a public area, there are six vacation apartments, which can also be rented permanently.
