Cafés, holidays in the countryside

The Kranich Café in the Alte Schmiede is part of the Hessenburg estate, located 14 kilometers northeast of Ribnitz-Damgarten. The main attractions are the listed, late-classicist manor house, the neo-baroque estate park, which is also a listed building, and an early German tower mound from the 13th century (archaeological monument). In this historic, spacious ensemble, the Kranich Café stands like a jewel box from a bygone era: a graceful brick building with three round arches resting on masonry, decorated columns.

The Kranich Café awaits you with homemade cakes and tarts, exquisite coffee drinks and fresh teas. But you can also put together a 3-course menu from small dishes accompanied by good wine and relax by the forge fire or on the terraces under old fruit trees.
The Kranich Café also offers the ideal setting for family celebrations, youth consecrations, company parties, weddings, even bachelor weddings with a rustic barbecue.
We provide festive tables for you and conjure up buffets in various price categories.
Opposite the manor house you can visit the Kranich Museum, rent a room in the hotel, stroll through the park or marvel at the knights' castle hill - Hessenburg is always worth a visit!
