On this interesting e-bike tour, you will not only discover the nature of the Mecklenburg Lake District, but also two castles. We start at Wesenberg Castle, which houses the tourist information office as well as exhibitions on fishing, forestry and shoemaking. You can also take in the view of the small farming town from the castle tower. The route leads along the Berlin-Copenhagen long-distance cycle path past Woblitzsee lake through the Müritz National Park and small villages to Penzlin. The Slavic hill fort located here, which was built around 1810 and is surrounded by the remains of an English park, invites you to discover it. It is also home to the Witch Museum, a cultural and historical museum of everyday magic and witchcraft. The route returns through more villages in the direction of Neustrelitz. The star-shaped town of Neustrelitz dates back to the end of the Baroque period. The harbor, near the palace gardens, is a particularly pleasant place to linger before returning to Wesenberg.
