You start at the marina Demmin in south-east direction.
First you paddle along the Peene under the first bridge. This bridge is opened for ships with a higher superstructure and for sailboats every four hours.
Keep to the right and enter a small branch of the Peene, past the passenger pier.
Back on the main Peene you take the next river arm on the left and come directly into the Toolense.
You can continue paddling this river as long as your stamina will carry you.
Afterwards, head back towards the Peene and then keep to the right, past the museum of local history and paddle back to the starting point.
