Planting, young tree training and old tree care
Fruit trees in the garden are a feast for bees and the eyes. They provide snacks and food. A garden is only complete with them. The basics for successful cultivation will be taught in March in a workshop in the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heath Nature Park.
The 4-hour workshop "Basics of fruit tree care" provides theoretical and practical basic knowledge about planting, caring for and pruning young and old trees. Suitable tools are presented, which the participants can also try out themselves. The speaker will be Edgar Bartel, nature park ranger and long-time fruit tree keeper.
The workshop will take place on Friday, February 23, from 1-5 p.m. at the Karower Meiler Nature Park Center. Participation costs €10 and the number of participants is limited. If you are interested, please register by February 20 at the following email address: info-nsh@lung.mv-regierung.de.
