At the beginning of the French Revolution, Pierre Manceron, a daring but proud cook, is dismissed by his master, the Duke of Chamfort. His encounter with an amazing woman who wants to learn the art of cooking alongside him urges him to emancipate himself in order to undertake his own revolution. Together they invent a place of pleasure and sharing and open the first restaurant in Paris. But the idea brings them not only customers, but also enemies.
