The first wanderlust trip of the new year takes us to Japan on January 22, 2026 - a country full of contrasts!

Temples and shrines conceal a tranquillity that seems like an echo of times gone by. Along a rugged coastline, we discover a small village where the sea tells stories and the people radiate a warm serenity.

We wander through places where samurai once walked and lose ourselves in ancient forests that know more than they reveal. Hot springs offer moments of letting go, while past and present merge between gardens, castles and urban energy. And the end result is a metropolis that never stands still - electrifying, exuberant, like a glimpse into the future that still feels its roots everywhere.

Japan - mysterious, deep and full of magic for those who look.

Admission is free!

The event series "Wanderlust Journeys - Experience the World Up Close!" is organized by Umweltprojekte Nord e.V., a non-profit association from Stralsund. Each lecture offers new insights into exciting travel destinations and invites you to discover the world in a special way.
