ABOUT US….
tranc3ption is now entering its third year and hosting its seventh event. What began just under three years ago as a joint idea between DJ Tosa and dP has grown into a regular party series in Stralsund. The basic idea was clear from the start: We wanted to bring back the sound that shaped us—the vinyl sound of the late ’90s and early 2000s. But tranc3ption isn’t meant to be just a trip down memory lane. We blend the classics from back then with current tracks and music that carries on that special spirit today. Musically, we make a conscious effort not to limit ourselves too much. From trance to progressive, tech-house, and minimal, all the way to more techno-inspired and harder sounds—a lot can happen in a single night.
Every artist should have enough time to build their set and tell their own story. We love booking DJs who themselves come from the vinyl era and have experienced that culture—but we’re just as happy to feature newcomers who impress us musically. We’re pretty proud of our lineup so far. And each of these evenings has had its own unique character. Behind tranc3ption are Tino, Ole, and Daniel.
Much of what guests experience on the night is planned well in advance, behind the scenes. We plan, discuss, listen to music, and fine-tune the flow, the sound, and the atmosphere. It’s precisely this small, intimate setting that’s an essential part of the experience for us. tranc3ption isn’t meant to be an anonymous, massive club. You’re close to the DJ, you meet familiar and new faces, and you experience the music together.
