Cinema on Sunday with coffee and cake as part of the program "Women in Divided Germany"
In the first part of his documentary film series, director Torsten Körner portrays German female politicians of the Bonn Republic who, in their struggle for political participation, are representative of social change from the post-war period to the fall of the Berlin Wall. In "Die Unbeugsamen 2. Guten Morgen, Ihr Schönen!" he deals with the reality of women's lives in the GDR. He draws portraits of East German women from the most diverse areas of society in the GDR. 15 self-confident women tell how patriarchy ruled even in the land of state-imposed equality.
