The three ??? and the Carpathian dog

After successfully solving their last case in a Romanian castle, Justus Jonas (JULIUS WECKAUF), Peter Shaw (NEVIO WENDT) and Bob Andrews (LEVI BRANDL) have achieved some fame in Rocky Beach, California, as the detective trio "Die drei ???". The phone in their secret headquarters in the scrapyard of Justus' Uncle Titus (FLORIAN LUKAS) and Aunt Mathilda (JÖRDIS TRIEBEL) never stops ringing. Nevertheless, an interesting new case is still a long time coming. Because the boys don't want to find lost cuddly toys and runaway cats, they want to pursue their passion for mysteries and seemingly inexplicable secrets. At last there's an exciting case! Mysterious things are happening in Mr. Prentice's (ULRICH TUKUR) apartment. Loud noises are heard, things vibrate and objects move. And then a valuable crystal sculpture is stolen: the Carpathian dog. The few clues point Justus, Peter and Bob in different directions - and turn all the residents of the apartment complex into suspects, especially the prickly caretaker Evelyn Boogle (SUNNYI MELLES).
