In Stralsund's extraordinarily richly decorated St. Nicholas Church, they often go unnoticed - the loving, small details on altarpieces, murals and carvings. Flowers, tendrils, leaves, berries and trees initially appear to be decoration and ornamentation, but have a deeper symbolic meaning, which is explored in the guided tour.
