Thibaut, a celebrated conductor, only finds out in the middle of his life that he was adopted and has a younger brother: Jimmy. Jimmy is a canteen cook in a small, impoverished town and plays the trombone in a brass band after work. As different as the two brothers are, they are united in their love of music. Impressed by Jimmy's talent, Thibaut decides to make up for the injustice of fate and give his brother the chance he has never had before ... A story about bumpy family relationships, life in the provinces, the whims of fate and the joy of music.
