Based on the book of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry / Theater der Altmark Stendal / For all ages 5 and up
In a version by Kerstin Slawek
Composition by Levente Gulyás
From his tiny home planet, which he inhabits all by himself, the little prince sets off one day on a journey to the neighboring planets. He has left behind only one rose, as beautiful as it is demanding. He encounters strange characters on his way, characters who have already become distant planets themselves and who only revolve around themselves: the drunkard, the domineering, the duty-ridden and other lost souls. Only on planet Earth, in the desert of all places, does he find someone who understands what it means to take care of a rose. And who also once knew that you have to close your eyes to really see. Despite the adverse circumstances, a friendship develops between the little prince and the pilot of a transport plane who has had an accident.
What Saint-Exupéry writes about friendship, trust and courage is simply impressive - as if it were being revealed for the first time. The team from the Theater der Altmark Stendal will be performing this touching story in a stage version, which is complemented by numerous songs.
