The small homeland of Count Zedtwitz
Villa Irmgard and the association Kunst-Promotion-Bildung
cordially invite you to the screening of the documentary film "Die kleine Heimat des Grafen Zedtwitz", which portrays the life and work of Eryk von Zedtwitz. He was a diplomat, journalist and marine painter who lived and painted in Międzyzdroje. He left behind over 2000 paintings. Zedtwitz enjoyed great respect and sympathy among the local population, learned Polish and painted the Baltic Sea.
The film features well-known actors from the Szczecin theaters as well as extras and experts. A meeting with the filmmakers will take place after the screening: Helena Kwiatkowska (screenwriter and director), Bartosz Jurgiewicz (cameraman) and Łukasz Nyks (film editor).
The film was created as part of the project "The life and work of Eryk von Zedtwitz as an example of loyalty to the small homeland in the context of human decisions and ideological choices of citizens of a united Europe". It is co-financed by the Interreg-VIA Cooperation Program Mecklenburg-Vorpommern / Brandenburg / Poland 2021-2027 and by funds from the Polish state budget. Project partners are the German-Polish Women's Forum and the International House of Culture in Międzyzdroje. Media partners are the "Kurier Szczeciński" and the online portal "w.Szczecinie.pl".
