For the first time, there will be a festival weekend for dance in Neustrelitz!
The town has an impressive dance tradition, is a dance city and part of a rich dance landscape: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has four permanent professional dance and ballet ensembles. A real treasure! The Deutsche Tanzkompanie will continue to dance and is celebrating this together with the ensembles from Greifswald, Rostock and Schwerin.
All together in Neustrelitz for the first time:
The TANZSTADT Gala unites the BallettVorpommern, the dance company of the Volkstheater Rostock, the Ballett Schwerin of the Mecklenburg State Theatre and the company from the Mecklenburg Lake District with excerpts from their diverse repertoire. A unique evening provides an insight into current dance creation in M-V.

TANZBANDE also stands for unity in dance. Amateur dance groups from M-V and Brandenburg (Tanztheater Strausberg, Tanzaktion Neubrandenburg, Tanzremise Neustrelitz and the host Tanzhaus der Deutschen Tanzkompanie) cultivate encounters with each other and show highlights of their programs to the festival audience.
