Under the direction of Peter Orloff, traditionally highly decorated Ukrainian and Russian singers of absolute world class perform in heartfelt harmony - breathtaking tenors, abysmal basses and, as a special highlight, an absolute world rarity, a male soprano from the Kiev Opera. His participation and the cast of the Black Sea Kosken Choir is also a signal of hope, like Daniel Barenboim's orchestra, consisting of Israelis and Palestinians. With this concert, the Black Sea Cossack Choir also wants to set an example and show that politics can still learn a lot from music.

The concert is under the overall musical direction and with the personal participation of Peter Orloff, who was once the youngest singer of all the Cossack choirs in the world - at that time, by the way, together with Ivan Rebroff. He is celebrating his 65th anniversary on stage this year and has been leading his ensemble from success to success for 30 years now. The young boy with the already sensational voice became the "Titan" Peter Orloff, the "King of the charts" with 16 chart entries of his own and numerous gold records - including as singer for "Ein Mädchen für immer" and "Königin der Nacht", as lyricist for Bernd Clüver's "Junge mit der Mundharmonika" and as composer for "Du", Peter Maffay's biggest hit to date. Impressive press reviews from then until today document the exceptional position that Peter Orloff, who comes from a famous Russian noble family, himself holds as a soloist in his ensemble. Enthusiastic television appearances in front of an audience of millions and numerous gold records and CDs underline the reputation of the Black Sea Cossack Choir as the outstanding Cossack ensemble of our time. The audience can look forward to a concert event that is as fascinating as it is touching, which the press celebrates as "Orloff's miracle choir" with "voices as beautiful and big as Russia". Vocal miracles or miraculous voices - both are true! The ensemble also includes three of the world's best Russian instrumental virtuosos. They accompanied Ivan Rebroff until his death and are now his musical legacy to his former companion and friend Peter Orloff. Thanks to its almost unique line-up, the Black Sea Cossack Choir is able to perform a truly extraordinary program with works such as the "Prisoners' Chorus", "Swan Lake", "Leise flehen meine Lieder" or - the parade solo of all great tenors - "Nessun dorma". At the heart of the concert are, of course, the most beautiful treasures from the rich treasure trove of Russian and Ukrainian music literature, such as the famous "Evening Bells", "The Twelvelf Räuber", "Ich bete an die Macht der Liebe", "Stenka Rasin", "Das einsame Glöckchen", "Kalinka" and - by popular demand - "Das Wolgalied". It is a musical journey from Kiev to St. Petersburg with romances, stories and ballads of overwhelming expressiveness, deep melancholy and exuberant temperament. The heroic deeds, glory and greatness of bygone days shine anew in bright splendor and evoke longings and memories - a veritable firework display of emotions. Peter Orloff is particularly looking forward to a reunion in Barth with the people who will have the opportunity to experience him live on August 19 with his elite ensemble, which is regarded as the pinnacle of its genre, and is already promising the audience an unforgettable evening - a "concert with goosebumps guaranteed" (audience commentary)! "From Kiev to St. Petersburg!"
