A drama that is not only moving, but also stirring - and yet anything but maudlin. The parallel story, based on true events, of Antoni, who starts out as a progressive village teacher in a sleepy Spanish provincial town in 1935, and Ariadna, who goes in search of her missing great-grandfather in 2010, is not only cleverly conceived, but despite the tragic background of the Spanish Civil War, it is told with a great deal of humor and warmth of heart in unforgettable images.
