From November 24 to January 4, experience how the historic old town of Stralsund is transformed into an atmospheric winter wonderland - at the oldest Christmas market in the Baltic Sea region, right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town.

Alter Markt: contemplation and culture
In the heart of the Christmas market, the culture tent invites you to a varied, free program with concerts, readings and more.
At 16:00, Greifswald piano virtuoso Nikolai Denisov will open the festive afternoon with an atmospheric piano concert. Until 18:00, he will fill the Kulturzelt with warm melodies and invite you to pause and enjoy - a musical prelude that is perfect for Boxing Day.
From 19:00, Carina and Stephan take over the stage and bring fresh energy to the evening with "Christmas - Soul, Funk, Jazz". With soulful voices and groovy rhythms, they reinterpret well-known Christmas songs and ensure a festive and upbeat end to the holidays until 9:00 pm.

Gothic town hall cellar: arts and crafts and tradition
In the historic vaulted cellar, artists and craftspeople will be presenting special, handmade gift ideas from November 24 to December 22, 2025.
Neuer Markt: funfair and ice rink
Until 22 December 2025, visitors can expect colorful funfair hustle and bustle with carousels, rides and sweet treats. Right next to it, the large ice rink invites all generations to enjoy winter fun.
St. John's Monastery: Advent like 500 years ago
From December 12 to 14, 2025, St. John's Monastery offers a medieval Advent atmosphere with historical crafts, hearty food, sweets and music.
