Sturmgespräch: Taste

Open discussion at the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop
Inspired by Ulrich Raulff's book "Wie es euch gefällt. A history of taste"

Everyone knows it exists - and everyone thinks they have it: taste. But what exactly shapes our preferences? How do we make judgments about taste and how do they change?

Why do we like some things immediately - and others not at all? What makes places, things or experiences "beautiful" for us? Based on Ulrich Raulff's new history of taste, we invite anyone who is curious to join us for a relaxed discussion.

With humor and interest, we will take a close look at what we like, what irritates us - and why. Feel free to bring along an example: a favorite place, a picture, an everyday object or simply an idea. We look forward to fresh impressions and surprising stories about how we like it.
