At the end of August, the Landesjugendjazzorchester will play under the direction of Michael Leuschner at the end of the summer work phase, with trumpeter Frederik Köster as soloist
The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Youth Jazz Orchestra provides the most talented young jazz musicians aged 14-26 with an ideal platform for making music together. Under professional guidance, musical interaction in a jazz orchestra and the basics of improvisation are taught in two work phases per year.
Musically, the LaJazzO explores the representative big band literature of the past decades, but also current compositions by this year's soloist Frederik Köster.
The concert program consists of an orchestral part and a part with an internationally renowned soloist. During the summer work phase, the musical material is deepened with the help of a team of lecturers and then presented in four to five concerts under the direction of Michael Leuschner in the country.
