2nd contribution in the special program by Judith Angerbauer (D 2013, 80 min) followed by a discussion with Judith Angerbauer (scholarship holder at Künstlerhaus Lukas)
Anja (Roxane Duran) lives in a small town somewhere in Germany. She is about to graduate from high school, but most weekends are spent partying. As Anja is walking home from the party one morning, she is hit by a car on a country road. Apparently nothing much has happened. After the initial shock has subsided, everyone is relieved that the accident went so smoothly. But then it becomes increasingly clear that Anja is no longer the same. But Anja herself is least able to deny that something is wrong with her. She is deeply unsettled by the fact that her memory is also failing her and she cannot remember what actually happened that night.
JUDITH ANGERBAUER
Born in 1977, she worked as an assistant producer and director at various theaters from 1997 before switching to film and making her short film debut with COVER in 2003. From 2004 to 2006, she wrote the screenplays for MATHILDE LIEBT and DER FREIE WILLE with Matthias Glasner. Her feature film debut as co-director followed in 2013 with SONNWENDE. As a screenwriter, she has worked on various episodes of TATORT and the series DIE NEUE ZEIT and DAS BOOT (seasons 3 and 4). SABBATICAL, for which Angerbauer also wrote the screenplay, was her first feature film as sole director. With this film, she received the jury prize of the Ahrenshooper Filmnächte 2024 and is therefore a guest of this year's special program.
