Lecture
Since 2012, the association "Niemand wird vergessen e.V." has been working to maintain and restore Jewish cemeteries in places where there are no longer any active Jewish communities due to the Shoah. These Jewish cemeteries are often the last remaining fragments of Jewish life in the cities.
It is important to honor the cemeteries now and in the future in order to actively fight against forgetting and to keep history alive for future generations.
In the lecture, two members of the association will present the active work of "Niemand wird vergessen e.V." , report on cemetery cleanings that have already taken place and explain how the association also focuses on the present and the future, does prevention work and thus contributes to the fight against anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism.
Niemand wird vergessen e.V. is a non-profit association that works to commemorate Jewish life in Germany before the Shoah. The association has been organizing missions to preserve and maintain the cemeteries and uncover the gravestones since 2012 and organizes accompanying educational activities.
