A FICTIONAL BUSINESS THRILLER THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED The two former top managers Andreas Krebs and Christian Velmer offer an incredible look behind the scenes of the economy: a gripping thriller about power games, corruption and illegal business.
A dead man, a respected family business and illegal chemical weapons exports - an unbelievable combination and yet that's exactly what happened! When an inconspicuous employee of the long-established company RheinHansa dies under mysterious circumstances, Detective Chief Inspector Claudia Janssen and her partner Rolf Lindner, the company's head of security, are drawn into the maelstrom of the investigation. What they gradually uncover goes far beyond the death: illegal chemical exports to crisis areas, intrigues and power games as well as corruption at the highest level. But in addition to the dark abysses of the business world, the thriller takes the reader into the bizarre world of everyday office life, full of headstrong bosses and quirky colleagues. With a sharp eye and black humor, everyday office life becomes the stage for a novel that is as exciting as it is biting. When the eponymous last memo appears, the story takes a dramatic turn that changes everything.
