Winter Reading Challenge 2025 - Conditions of participation
Period: December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026
For many people, fall and winter are the best time to read. To ensure that you have a lot of fun during this time, the Förderverein der Regionalbibliothek Neubrandenburg e. V. is organizing an exciting reading challenge. You can discover new books and win great prizes.
What is the Winter Reading Challenge?
You choose at least five out of 15 different reading tasks (challenges) and solve them. The challenges are designed to bring you into contact with books from our collection in a variety of ways.
How do you take part?
Fill out the participation card and hand in your short reviews of the books you have read at the library service desk. Each review submitted will be placed in the raffle box and will automatically be entered into the prize draw.
Entry requirements:
Only books and audio books from the Neubrandenburg Regional Library's collection may be used.
You need a valid library card to borrow the titles.
All persons who have reached the age of 18 at the time of participation are eligible to take part. Employees of the library are excluded from participation.
Data protection:
By submitting your entry card, you agree that your membership data may be used by the Friends of the Regional Library for the purposes of the competition. Prizes:
The Förderverein der Regionalbibliothek e.V. is giving away a free annual membership for 10 participants.
Prizes cannot be paid out in cash or transferred to other persons.
Legal recourse:
Legal recourse is excluded.
Closing date and draw:
The closing date for entries is February 28, 2026.
The draw will take place on March 5, 2026.
The winners will then be notified in writing.
The challenges:
- A book that was published in 2025.
- A book that fits the current season, especially winter.
- A book on current world events.
- A book by a Norwegian author.
- A book set in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or by an author from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
- A classic.
- A book with an animal on the cover.
- A book of poetry.
- A graphic novel or a comic.
- A book with a number in the title.
- A book with a wintry cover.
- A book from an area you rarely browse.
- A book about a place you would like to visit.
- A book you've always wanted to read.
- A book that has won the Annalise Wagner Prize.
