From "simple peace"
The Querbeet music ensemble's new program will be performed at the Regenbogenhaus in October.
The inspiration for this time was provided by the writer Gisela Steineckert. In 1981, she wrote the text "Der einfache Frieden" (Simple Peace) for the singer Kurt Nolze, which was set to music by Klaus Schneider.
The song is not about "peace as the absence of war", but about "simple peace", peace in one's own home, peace between husband and wife, a sheltered home for the children and also about appreciation for people we know and respect for nature and life.
Querbeet chooses the song as the starting point for a profound program that attempts to capture all aspects of "simple peace" with appropriate songs.
The mood is sometimes thoughtful, sometimes melancholy and sometimes cheerful. The audience can look forward to an interesting and varied program with many newly rehearsed songs.
Tickets (€8) are available from the Teterow Tourist Information Office from October 7.
