Low German reading from the treasures of the Zepeliner Plattdüütsch Run and the Kirch stück church library

The Förderverein der Kirche zu Kirch Stück e.V. invites you to a special Low German reading! On Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 7.30 pm, all friends of the Low German language will meet. Together with Mr. Wolfgang Hohmann from the "Zepeliner Plattdüütsch Runn" and actors from our midst, we want to hear stories from their thematic overview and unearth treasures from our Kirchstück Low German library.
Location: "Landhaus Schwerin", guesthouse and café, An der Chaussee 28, Schwerin-Medewege.

Low German enthusiasts meet regularly in Oettelin in the district of Rostock for the "Zepeliner Plattdüütsch Runn". They have compiled many of the stories they have read in a thematic overview. Mr. Wolfgang Hohmann will share some of these with us.
For some time now, Kirch Stück has had an exchange and gift library for Low German literature. Many hundreds of books have been donated to the Friends' Association to pass on to new readers.
On this evening, with your help, we want to unearth such treasures and introduce them to each other. Let us surprise you on this evening with what you will discover.

Admission is free; at the end of the event, we will be collecting donations to fund an accessible pathway to the main entrance of the church.

This event is sponsored by the district of Nordwestmecklenburg and the Ehrenamtsstiftung M-V.
