Flutes and organ Susanne Ehrhardt flutes(Berlin) + Sergej Tcherepanov organ(Lübeck)

Roswitha and Thomas Sauer from Berlin have been creating musical and lyrical programs since 2008. This summer evening they are guests with music and poems about the joy of life. Romantic organ music by Edward Elgar, Robert Jones and L. J. A. Lefébure-Wely alternates with enigmatic poems by Eugen Roth, Wilhelm Busch and Roswitha Sauer in a thematic interplay. The evening ends with the cheerful march by the Italian Vincenzo Petrali.

Roswitha Sauer
Born in Berlin in 1969, she studied to become a teacher of German, Russian and German as a foreign language in Leipzig, Moscow and Berlin.
She has worked at St. Hedwig's Cathedral in Berlin since 1997, for many years as a cathedral guide, and has been a cathedral verger since 2020. Since 2008, she and her husband Thomas Sauer have been conceiving and designing musical-lyrical thematic programs. One of these (Symphonie Passion) is also available on CD.
She writes poems, meditations, texts and nativity plays. Since 2012, she has contributed to the radio program "Abendsegen" on rbb 88,8.

Thomas Sauer
born in 1954 in Wittichenau, received his first musical training at the Bautzen Music School and studied at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Academy of Music in Leipzig (majoring in organ with Thomas organist Prof. Hannes Kästner). From 1978 to 2020 he was cathedral organist at St. Hedwig's Cathedral in Berlin. From 1990 he was a lecturer in organ playing and improvisation at the Archbishop's Church Music School in Berlin until its closure in 2003.
His international awards include the Bach Prize in Leipzig in 1976 and a diploma from the "Tribune Internationale des Jeunes Interpretes" in Bratislava in 1983; in 1987 he won the improvisation competition in Halle.
Concerts at St. Hedwig's and concert tours in Europe and the USA, radio, record and CD productions have consolidated his international reputation as a concert organist and church musician.
In addition to pure organ concerts, he can also be heard together with his wife Roswitha with musical-lyrical thematic programs.
