Vernissage for the opening weekend of the 9th Jewish Culture Days in Rostock

Plants play an important role in the holy scriptures of the Abrahamic religions. They are symbols of beauty, fertility, healing and spiritual meaning. Each watercolor in this exhibition tells its own story. From olives to onions, dates to pomegranates, these works pay homage to the beauty of nature and the spiritual depth revered in the sacred texts. The exhibition offers an opportunity to explore the meaning of these plants in different religious contexts. The 20 watercolors were created by the artists Liselotte Bombitzki, Alexandra Hampp and Jutta Gildner. The interfaith project is aimed at people of different religions in order to bring them together and invite them to talk about their traditions. It is funded by the federal program "Do you know who I am?", the Working Group of Christian Churches, the Coordination Council of Muslims and the Central Council of Jews.
