For the 7th time, the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg, together with the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Sports Association and other partners, is setting an example against violence against women and girls with the "One Billion Rising" initiative.

"One Billion Rising" - Dance along and make non-violence a topic!

"One Billion Rising" aims to raise awareness, promote solidarity and bring about change to create a world without violence against women. It is a powerful and inspiring movement that encourages people around the world to stand up for the rights and safety of women and girls.

On the market square, in the heart of the city, information stands will be providing information on the topic of violence from 14:00 -16:00. The region's advice and support network will be offering help. A stage program is planned from 16:00 -17:00. At the end there will be dancing together to the action song "Women on Fire".
