The paper factory is a fascinating industrial monument near Dömitz. The River Elde runs right alongside it and the former lost place has not been open to the public on land for long. A small group has set itself the task of revitalizing this monumental testimony to history.
This weekend offers fascinating insights behind old and often dilapidated backdrops and sites of major industries.
Included: the "Alte Papierfabrik Neu Kaliß", a unique industrial monument dating back to 1872.
Preserving and revitalizing this monumental testimony to history is a huge challenge! But the idea of a center full of creativity, art, culture and encounters and the creation of sustainable tourism ideas is unleashing unimagined forces among the protagonists.
They will introduce themselves in person on 27.9. The still small group is happy to welcome interested parties and other participants.
Throughout the weekend, there will be in-depth guided tours, delicious coffee and cake, spicy barbecue food, four permanent exhibitions, a continuous loop of contemporary cinema and a colorful workshop for children.
