Teatime reading with tea, coffee & pastries | Moderation: Alexander Solloch (NDR Kultur)
Are we living in difficult times? Yes, say Katharina Hacker and Louise Brown. And even without the world situation, sadness is one of the feelings that haunt us. How do we deal with it? Flee, endure, mask, numb? Former book prize winner Katharina Hacker ("Die Habenichtse") has written short, intelligent essays on how to deal with sadness. One of her findings: Where sadness is allowed to remain, it does not rage easily.
Happiness and light-heartedness are also fleeting. How can we sharpen our senses for the good things we encounter in everyday life? Louise Brown, London-born author, journalist and grief speaker in Hamburg, talks about the small wonders of life in her new book "Zuversicht" (Confidence).
