On September 13, 2025, the marching band of SV Motor Barth e.V. is celebrating its 70th birthday and cordially invites you to join us. You will experience a colorful marching band reunion with marching bands from Stralsund, Tessin, Parchim, Malchow, Goldberg, Friedland and Schwerin, lots of music, good humor as well as food and drinks for the whole family.
A very special birthday party will be celebrated in Barth on Saturday, September 13, 2025: The marching band of SV Motor Barth e.V. will be 70 years young and to mark the occasion, the marching band is inviting everyone to a big marching band get-together. Together with the Barth junior marching band and the oldie marching band, the Barth marching bands and fanfare bands from Stralsund, Tessin, Parchim, Malchow, Goldberg, Friedland and Schwerin are expecting guests.
The day is a festival for the whole family: in the morning, the sounds of marches and well-known music will fill the streets. The processions will parade through various parts of the town and bring atmosphere to the area around Sundischestraße, the town center, Barth-Süd and Barth-Vogelsang. The ceremonial opening takes place on the market square from 12:00 noon, where the ensembles present excerpts from their repertoire. Guests will experience tradition, community and musical diversity, from lively marches to current songs, performed by generations that have shaped the cultural life of our region.
Food and drink will of course be available at various stands, so that young and old can linger between performances and enjoy the atmosphere. The event is free of charge and open to all.
Program schedule:
10:00-11:00 a.m. - Musical parades through the city districts (region around Sundischestraße, city center, Barth-Süd, Barth-Vogelsang)
12:00 - Official opening on the market square with musical contributions from the individual processions
12:00-17:00 - Demonstrations and repertoire presentations by the guest and local trains on the market square
approx. 17:00 - Grand finale on the market square: all marching bands and fanfare bands present play together
